Naomi, aka Trinity Fatu, recently lost one of her million admirers. The May 31 edition of SmackDown saw the veteran engaged in verbal strife with the blue brand newbie, Blair Davenport, after she pointlessly triggered the 28-year-old by chiming in her backstage conversation with General Manager Nick Aldis. Now, stretching it up to the wall of social media, Devenport declared a final feeling of ignominy toward the former Impact star.
The odd duo of two different generations came across each other by chance on SmackDown last week in Nick Aldis’ office. Naomi, out of the blue, asked Nick Aldis to tip her in a match against Chelsea Green and Piper Niven following their sneak attack during the opening segment. Later on, Naomi realized the wrong timing and made an apology for the same to the blue brand GM, overlooking Devenport.
The treatment rubbed the newbie the wrong way, leading up to a seating word of war. Naomi took it to Twitter, following the heated segment. She purposely downplayed the newly drafted SmackDown star by tagging several namesakes of her. It was an attempt to showcase that she couldn’t bother to remember what exactly her name was. The New Zealand-born counter tweeted attacking her glorious Total Divas run that made her incredibly popular. “I used to watch you on Total Divas and idolize you. Now I can see how delusional that was 🙄,” she wrote.

Given Devenport is yet to have an official SmackDown debut, it is feasible that she chooses her first slanderer as her first in-ring opponent as well. Moving ahead, despite humbling her fellow female peer on division as per the Kayfabe demand, Naomi has been a staunch advocate of the overall women’s position in the realm of wrestling.
Naomi voiced her stance regarding the women’s revolution in the business
WWE has a rich history of shaping women’s roles in the business. From an era of a bunch of instances of abuse, mistreatment, and low growth opportunities to foster a comparatively clean, inclusive work culture for women, the company has come a long way. The collective efforts of a lot of needle movers, including four horsewomen, Becky Lynch, Bayley, Charlotte Flair, and Sasha Banks gradually guided the entire situation to the light. But it’s still not over. There are many places left to work on.

During a recent interview with Fault Magazine, Sasha Banks‘ former partner thanked all the women who walked down the road of change over the years. But at the same time, she believes this is a continuous process. Alpha women continue to prove they deserve more respect, more recognition, more TV time, and equal wages instead of just demanding it.
