The reigning WWE Universal champion, ‘The Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns, has been unstoppable since winning last year’s championship against Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman.

Having won back-to-back grand matches with his opponents, Reigns has proven himself to be a worthy champion who has held the title for over a year. Last week on Friday Night SmackDown, Reigns faced off against ‘King’ Woods and eventually crowned himself as a champion after he defeated Woods.

However, Fightful reported that Reigns’ match last week was produced by a former TNA star who was brought in for a tryout as a WWE Producer.

According to Fightful, former TNA superstar, Petey Williams, was the one who produced the matchup between Reigns and Woods last week on SmackDown.

And the newly appointed WWE producer received a lot of praise from his peers and higher management for his way of managing things and producing a stellar match between the individuals.

Before trying out with WWE, Williams was a backstage producer for Impact Wrestling, aka TNA, and had been working as a producer for years before making his big switch last month.

The current champion was last pinned in 2019 against Baron Corbin when Reigns was still a babyface that no one liked. However, fast forward to 2021, Reigns is the most decorated superstar in modern wrestling.

Ultimately, it looks like WWE is not planning to take the belt off Reigns as his heel characteristics are really complimenting his in-ring abilities.
