Dwayne Johnson has always been one of the most popular and over-wrestlers. His rise to success is extremely iconic, and one of the most memorable ones in the history of the company. As the initial gimmick did not work, he soon turned heel, and it did the magic for him.

Having extremely good mic skills, and oozing charisma, The Rock was not just a pro wrestler but a true superstar indeed. After enjoying a successful WWE career, he switched paths and joined Hollywood to start out in the movie business. Despite occasionally making comebacks, he has not returned as a full-time employee.

The Rock had several iconic rivalries throughout his career. Some of them are with John Cena, CM Punk, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Hulk Hogan. These were also some of the most iconic and legendary feuds that Johnson had over the years. However, in 1999, he had a few matches against Val Venis, and although it was not a full-fledged rivalry, it had some juice to it.

Recently, Venis appeared in Wrestling Shoot Interviews and spoke on Dwayne Johnson’s wrestling abilities. He said, “Now Rock I would never go to for advice on how to wrestle, because let’s face it, Rock is not the best wrestler in the world.” He directly took a shot at Dwayne Johnson and his wrestling skills.

However, he also took the time to compliment him as well. Venis stated that The Rock was smart to transform his basic moves into one of the best moves. He stated, “he’s smart enough to make those very basic things over like rover. The most ridiculous elbow drop on the face of the planet, the elbow drop s**ks but it’s the best elbow drop going.”

The Rock made his debut in 2006 and stayed till 2004. He left WWE after his contract expired and moved on to the greener pastures of Hollywood. Although he came back to the ring later, he knew he had to go back to the movie world.

Will The Rock face The Tribal Chief at WrestleMania 39?

WrestleMania 39 is one of the most hyped-up WrestleManias in a long time. The card is expected to have some of the biggest names in the industry, including The Rock and Cody Rhodes. And as per rumors, Reigns would face either Rhodes, or Dwayne Johnson, or both in singles competition.

It is also rumored that Rhodes would be the one to take the titles off Roman Reigns at the event. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio revealed that The Rock vs Roman Reigns is in the plans. He said, “It’s the plan. It’s 100% the plan for this year.”
