Pro wrestlers nowadays idolize Dwayne Johnson and call him their inspiration. Just like them, Dwayne Johnson also had some idols growing up. His father, Rocky Johnson, is obviously one of his idols. But apart from his father, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair also took care of him and made him feel special.

Ric Flair is going to have his last match in some hours at the Starrcast V event. Prior to his match, an event named The Roast of Ric Flair took place. And Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson used this platform to send a heartwarming message to the WWE Hall of Famer ahead of his retirement match.

Though the Hollywood superstar did not attend the event physically, he appeared via video. In that video, Dwayne Johnson revealed how grateful he is to Ric Flair for all the affection, love, and kindness Flair has shown towards Johnson and his family.

The Brahma Bull said, “The best thing about you, in my opinion, is the human being that you are. Thank you for being such a good, kind human being to me and to my family, and to my grandmother. You, as the NWA World Champion, would stop in Hawaii. You knew you were getting a shit payoff, but you still went because you loved the business and you cared for my family.”

The Rock further added, “So you went and used to wrestle for my grandmother. I will never forget that. That meant something to me and it still means something to me today. I love you.”

Dwayne Johnson will not be present physically for Flair’s last match. But his words are surely going to put a smile on “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair’s face.

In his video during The Roast of Ric Flair, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson also recalled how “The Nature Boy” treated him in his youth. When he was 12 years old. The Rock went up to shake Ric Flair’s hand when he met him at the NWA convention in Las Vegas.

Flair’s immediate reaction to seeing him surprised The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment. Even before he introduced himself, the WWE Hall of Famer instantly recognized him.
