In his autobiography, Death Clutch, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ recounts that although his parents were farmers, they always pushed him to wrestle starting at the age of 5. And while he had to shovel manure and milk cows just like everyone else, he never skipped a wrestling session.

Notably, Lesnar’s mother, Stephanie Lesnar, traveled everywhere with him when he had to attend wrestling matches. However, Lesnar recently talked about how once his mother got upset with him following a loss.

The Beast Incarnate stated, “I will never forget how upset my mom was when I lost in the quarter-finals of the National Junior College Wrestling Tournament.”
“It was during my freshman year at Bismarck State College in North Dakota. She really wanted me to excel—to stand out. She wanted me not only to live up to my potential but to do even more.”

In addition, he said that his mother had always sensed that he had been endowed with special athletic talents. She was quite upset when he lost at the Bismarck State College. Since in her eyes there was no justification for him not to be the greatest, she was never going to allow him to believe that coming in second was acceptable.
