Not every wrestler attains popularity like Dwayne Johnson. There is only one Rock and people shower all their love on him. However, sometimes it gets too much to handle for the person. Something similar is happening with the most electrifying man in all of sports entertainment. 

The recent release of Young Rock’s 3rd season reveals his vulnerable side to the audience. It talks about the young adult Dwayne Johnson, who is finding a balance between fame and life.

His character is racing between the audience’s reaction and the level of fame it brings to the table for him. However, he managed to gather his feelings and shared them with his friend. Reflecting on this will tell us a lot about our favorite actor. 

When Rock struggled with fame

On 9th December 2022, the 5th episode of Young Rock’s third season was released. The plot of which deals with how Rock wrestles with fame when his career takes off. This was the period when he did a character change during his wrestling days. The roster rebranded him into a villain, or, as referred to in wrestling, a heel. 

It was a major move in his career that could have taken him either way. As it was a big transformation for the audience to handle. However, the result was pretty good. He received massive success and fans embraced his new avatar. 

After finding success in his transformation, there was a whole new level of fame waiting for the young Rock. He couldn’t be happier witnessing people’s appreciation of him. However, that brought a lot of thrills in his life, combined with the loss of freedom. 

As he said in the episode, “I wasn’t prepared they did not prepare me for living in the spotlight, or the fact that the spotlight never turns off.”

But as we know, fame comes with a set of responsibilities, therefore Johnson starts to find a balance. The episode also includes an event that shows his ex-wife teaching him a valuable lesson. 

During their intimate dinner, when his fans interrupt him for autographs, Johnson did not behave properly. Soon after that, his then-wife Dany Garcia (Arlyn Broche) calls him for ruining his fan’s special moment. Learning the lesson, he decided to buy them dinner and apologize for his actions.

The vulnerable Dwayne Johnson

The most engaging part that’s been disclosed in this episode was his struggling days till his upcoming event. The five days before his event were the most dreadful, where he was anxious. During those tough days, he shared his feelings with his friend Bruno. 

He said, “I just thought these five days leading up to my next match would be easy.” The stressed Johnson also added, “I can’t stop worrying about what might happen there.“

On the contrary, he also admitted the liberation he felt while speaking his own feelings. He mentioned, “Look, I know uncertainty is part of the deal, right? But getting up on the mic like that, saying exactly what I wanted to say, it felt great.”
