Brock Lesnar has a reputation for being fierce and competitive. Looking at him, no one could say that he was performing an orchestrated fight that was predetermined. Looking at him, one could definitely say that he’s squashing any opponent you put him against. And funnily enough, that is what happens most of the time.

Matches with Kofi Kingston or Ricochet are clear examples where Lesnar showed up just to collect the paycheck and nothing else. This ability fascinates a lot of people in the industry today. While wrestlers like Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles have earned the right to become champions through technical wrestling, Lesnar isn’t one of them.
Vince McMahon only had one mindset for Lesnar since his debut, to arrive and destroy the opponent. This mentality has served him well in the UFC as well. Winning the prestigious UFC World Championship, he showed everyone who the real fighter is in this business. And in his biography, The Beast Incarnate tells a story of a similar kind, but this time it isn’t against some high-flyer. It’s WWE’s best giant, Big Show.
Brock Lesnar narrates a fun incident with Big Show in South Africa
In the biography, Brock Lesnar wrote, “Right before our match, Show came over to where I was dressing, smoking a cigarette… he said, “Let’s change the match around tonight.” We knew the match. It was easy. Why change it? Show got all upset with me, and he kept saying over and over again, “I’m a veteran, I’m the heel, I get to call the match!” Bad news for Show, though. I wasn’t in the mood for his s**t that night.”

“Show was all huffy and puffy going out the ring, determined to call the match the way he wanted it to go, but as soon as I hit the ring, I snatched him and started suplexing him all over the place. Before he could get up, I ran across the ring, grabbed him, and locked my hands around him again. He started panicking. “Brock, what the hell are you doing? Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait!” So I flung him around a few more times. He learned his lesson.”

During his early days in WWE, there was no one who could stop Brock Lesnar from his path. The Beast laid to rest many legends in his path to greatness. Whether it was Hulk Hogan, The Rock, or Goldberg, the Beast showed up and cleaned the house.
