“I Was Very, Very Angry” Cody Rhodes Shoots on Heat With Triple H

Cody Rhodes shocked the wrestling universe by jumping ship to WWE from AEW at WrestleMania 38. This move was already rumored for weeks before the showcase of immortals was scheduled. Rhodes had his first match against Seth Rollins in a winning effort.

However, since his return, in many interviews, he has been asked about meeting Triple H after returning. ‘The American Nightmare’ has given a simple answer that everything went smoothly while meeting The Game.

Recently, Cody Rhodes appeared on the WWE’s FOX YouTube show Out of Character with Ryan Satin. He discussed his journey for six years outside WWE and also talked about AEW.

Moreover, The American Nightmare shared his actual thoughts in this interview regarding Triple H. Ryan asked him about his meeting with Hunter and if he held any grudges against him.

Rhodes said, “But also too, I was very, very angry. That anger remains as far as how we saw each other, how he saw me, and what I wanted to do. I wanted to channel that anger differently. It was a really touching moment. I didn’t tell anybody what he said, and I won’t. But it was a touching moment.”

Rhodes described how it was normal interaction for Triple H with a former WWE talent back coming back to the company. He respects Hunter for what he has achieved in WWE and also for being an upper-level management official and with everything going on in Triple H’s life, Cody thinks it was a normal day for the 14-time world champion.

However, it was all different for The American Nightmare, as he is a fan of Triple H and admires him for having a significant influence on his career.

Rhodes does not want to disclose the words of appreciation Triple H said to him before WrestleMania return. Also, as per Rhodes, the topic of him demolishing The Cerebral Assassin’s throne on AEW has never come up while having a conversation with Hunter.

Cody Rhodes is to have a rematch against Seth Rollins

The American Nightmare returned to RAW after WrestleMania. There he got a massive ovation from the fans and Cody Rhodes told the WWE Universe his aim is to win the WWE Championship this time in the company.

While he was about to leave, Seth Rollins came out, just shook his hand, and left. However, on the latest episode of Raw, Rollins and Rhodes had a long promo in which both confronted each other. The Visionary asked for his rematch at WrestleMania BackLash and the match is official now. It seems Rhodes’ road to WWE Championship will have a pit stop at BackLash against Seth Rollins.
