While Dwayne Johnson might have all the money, estate, and luxury in the world, he also has one thing that doesn’t come close to any material in the world. Johnson went on to achieve his childhood dream of being the spitting image of his idols.

Just like normal people who love music and went to movies, his idols were none other than the star of the biggest adventure movie franchise, Harrison Ford, and the biggest singer on the planet, Elvis Presley.

While Johnson might have become a legendary wrestler and blockbuster actor, he also found his place in people’s hearts just like his idols did in his childhood.

Dwayne Johnson once opened up about his idols in the entertainment industry

In a long-forgotten interview with Dwayne Johnson in the New York Times in 2008, he reveals his idols. He says, “I wanted to be a cross between Harrison Ford and Elvis Presley. I was such a big fan of Elvis, and I remember saying to my mom at the time, ‘I wanna be him [Ford] and Elvis.’ She was, of course, sure, honey, absolutely.

Just two days ago, Johnson paid tribute to Elvis’ daughter who passed away on 12th January. Lisa Marie Presley was an integral part of Elvis’ career and Johnson paid his tribute by playing his legendary song, ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’.

Did The Rock achieve Elvis or Ford status?

Looking at his filmography, Johnson truly inherited the adventure movie legacy left by Harrison Ford. Also, when it comes to Elvis, Johnson is still one of the greatest promos, which is equivalent to WWE’s Elvis. So, in hindsight, Johnson achieved his youthful dream of becoming part Ford and part Elvis in the end.
