“I Was Quite Nervous”: Dwayne Johnson Once Made This Popular Actress Break the “Rules of Meeting a Famous Person” During a Dinner Meeting

During the peak of WWE, there were many superstars who became a legend during that era. Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, Mick Foley, and The Big Show, just to name a few. But one rose above all of them and conquered all peaks not just in WWE but in Hollywood as well. This is none other than Dwayne Johnson.

Known by his WWE persona, The Rock, the man kept the people wanting more every time he picked up a mic. His charisma overflowed, which led to crowds upon crowds of people coming to see him every week. But that charisma is becoming a problem as this Hollywood actress forgot her manners while seeing him in public.

Emily Blunt forgot everything about celebrity public meetings when she saw Dwayne Johnson

On the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Emily Blunt revealed her first meeting with Dwayne Johnson. She said, “Well, we knew we were doing it, and he called [for] a dinner just to see if I was alright. I was quite nervous to meet him; I have to say. Because he’s sort of — everyone knows a lot about him, and he’s on Instagram, all of that. But you kind of don’t know a lot about him at the same time.”

She made it clear that she knew about the mannerisms when meeting celebrities in public. She said, “I know the rules of meeting a famous person or being with a famous person in a public place. I’m married to an enormous man who is very visible, and I know the ground rules: keep your trap shut, keep it discreet, and just blend in as much as you can.”

But when Johnson walked in everything she knew went out of the gate. She continued, “He walks in, and I heard myself go, ‘Hey!’ I didn’t know what I was doing, and he literally went, [quietly] ‘Hi, how are you?’ I mean like, literally whispering, like, ‘Shut the f*** up.’ That was my first.”

She never made it clear if it was Johnson’s immense charisma that made her react like she just met her childhood friend after a long time or if it was something in the surroundings, but it made for a great story, nonetheless.
