But now, after 5 years of change, Cena has finally revealed the real reason for the change in hairstyle in the first place.

John Cena revealed the real reason for drastically changing his hairstyle after WWE

When John Cena was asked about the reason for changing his hairstyle in 2018, he said, “Originally I grew it out for a role, and some good fortune has come my way, so I may have to keep it long. I don’t know, everybody wants it short, so that makes me wanna keep it long. I don’t, because you have to manage it and I really like the hi-fade because you can just get out of bed and go. So, it’s another thing to take care of. But I like it because I was self-conscious about it until this moment where I was forced to grow it out. It’s a cool drill in facing the uncomfortable.”

From the information that we have and the first appearance of Cena in this hair, we can guess that the movie that he is talking about is Bumblebee. There, while his performance was nothing to brag about, his hair did make some headlines. But since then, Cena has changed his entire persona as an actor. Instead of making good money with big action flicks, Cena moved to comedy and he is thriving in it.

He was one of the standout performers in The Suicide Squad (2021). He was so good that after that he featured in his solo original series called Peacemaker. Right now, he is an integral part of the DCEU. This is fascinating because Dwayne Johnson will make his big landing on the DCEU with Black Adam.
