Steven Spielberg sent Dwayne Johnson over the moon

In May 2015, Dwayne Johnson went to his Instagram account to share one of the best moments in his life. In his post, sharing a picture of himself with a big grin on his face. He stated he received a letter from his childhood idol.

Johnson started by stating that the letter made him grin like a kid. He then mentioned his childhood and how much he loved watching Spielberg’s movies. He said, “When I was 8yrs old, I sat front row to see a sold out INDIANA JONES in its opening weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina.”

The Brahma Bull confessed that the American filmmaker inspired him to become an actor. He wanted to follow in the Hollywood director’s footsteps. Just like his previous dream accomplishment, he wanted to make his dream come true by creating movies similar to his idol.

He then again emphasized the fact that how his idol’s letter made him feel nostalgic and took him down memory lane when he used to be the 8-year-old kid who loved movies.

At last, he thanked the 76-year-old star for the inspiring and motivating words that made him feel humbled and grateful after reading the letter. The words in the letter had a great impact on The People’s Champion. Spielberg’s beautifully crafted letter was bound to do that.

Spielberg heaped praise on Johnson in his letter

Almost three weeks after receiving the letter, The Great One sat down in an interview with Esquire. In the interview, he revealed the contents of the letter. He said, “Been enjoying your movies over the years. Very entertaining. I feel like I’ve really gotten to know you over the years, most recently, after watching you host Saturday Night Live.”

“Great job. You continue to go for it. Proud of your work and look forward to meeting you. Steven Spielberg,” Johnson continued to say. During the interview, The Great One also mentioned that the letter completely blew his mind.
