They got hitched in August 2022. Recently, the former WWE star went into detail about her sticky breakup with Cena and how it trickled into her future relationships. Moreover, Bella also explained why Chigvintsev was the right man for her at the right time.

Nikki Bella could not heal from her breakup with John Cena for a long time

In a recent episode of The Sessions with Renee Paquette, Nikki Bella addressed her love life. During the interview, Bella revealed that she tried to break up with her husband because she was still struggling with her past relationship with John Cena.

The WWE Ambassador said “I would try to break up with him. Like I was so confused and I even like sat him down and I was like, this is when I was always so honest and I was like ‘Look, I’m not healed from my past relationship.”

“I’m still struggling and dealing with things, like if you wanna deal with a girl that’s on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, feel free. If you don’t, I don’t blame you. Run from me.” Nikki Bella sat him down and was completely honest with him about her past. She even told him that he was free to leave if he couldn’t handle it. However, Artem stood by her out of love. The Russian knew exactly how to calm her down and take care of ‘The Fearless’.

Artem Chigvintsev knew how to handle The Fearless

Nikki Bella explained why she made the right choice in her partner and continued, “I was still going on my own journey and he just was there all the time. And through bad times and good times and then now, here we are… He’s the sweetest man in the world…

He has this aura about him. He’s very calming.” Bella now believes that he was exactly what she needed at the right time.

Despite her reservations about moving on, Artem stood by her and helped her heal. It’s a heartwarming story of love and support, and it’s great to see The WWE ambassador in a happy and healthy relationship.
