The New Day is one of the most celebrated teams in WWE history. The professional wrestling stable consists of Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods. New Day was first seen in 2014 during an episode WWE RAW. However, the stable officially made its debut in 2014 during an episode of SmackDown.

Ever since the stable made it’s debut, not once have either of the members been booked against each other. This is nothing short of a wrestling miracle considering the industry is all about brewing new conflicts and story-lines.

Unfortunately for Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, they are currently not making appearances in the ring owing to injuries. As a result, this gives Big E the opportunity to make a singles run. However, he is quite adamant on ensuring that this does not mean New Day will break up.

Big E reveals his future plans for New Day

During an interview, Big E reveals that more often than not, other Superstars have told them individually that New Day is a waste of time. All three of them at some point come in contact with another Superstar accusing them of not diving into their World Champion potential since they are a part of The New Day.

Two such prominent names who have hinted at the idea that New Day breaking up will be better for the Superstars are Booker T and Big Show. One of the primary reasons why this is a popular opinion is due to history. The chapters of wrestling history show us that most tag-teams and stables have broken up and each member has taken their own route to success.

“I’ll say this now because he’s apologized to us and he’s been open about it, but Big Show went in front of our faces and told Kofi, ‘What are you doing with those two? You’re wasting your time. You have world champion potential.'”

Big E is of the opinion that betrayal, breaking up, and moving their own way is a predictable professional wrestling trope. He wants New Day to have its own story which is fresh and works with their idea of brotherhood.

“The old trope of being serious or turning on your partners has been done to death. I want to be something new. I want to be something different. I want to stand on my own.”
