The six-time world champion has also authored several books. In one of which, he revealed his confrontation with the then-chairperson of WWE, Mr. McMahon.

Jericho’s confrontation with Vince McMahon

In his book, Undisputed: How to Become the World Champion in 1,372 Easy Steps, Jericho has given some inside stories. The most talked about one was C Man’s confrontation with McMahon. It was regarding his plan of stripping him of the Undisputed title. 

The rumors that McMahon was second-guessing his decision shook Chris Jericho. For some time, he dismissed them, but eventually, he had to think about it. This led him to go and confront everything with McMahon once and for all.

After listening to all the gossip, ‘The King of the World,’ could not take it anymore. He then decided to go and have a conversation with Mr. McMahon. The gossip really pissed him off, as it was all his hard work that led him to success. 

He wrote, “Listen, Vince, I’m the Undisputed Champion, and you gave me this chance for a reason. I’m sure there are some people behind the scenes who aren’t too happy with your decision, but I don’t care—I’m the champion! This is my time, my chance, and if people don’t believe in me, they can go f*k themselves.”

Further, he also added, “And you know what, Vince? If you don’t believe in me, you can go fk yourself too!’ There, I’d said it. I had told the great Vince McMahon to go f*k himself. But it was how I truly felt, and I was relieved. Now I would have to deal with the consequences.”

The Lionheart was passionate about wrestling, especially for his titles. Therefore, he almost fought the then-chairman of WWE. He was ready to handle the consequences that would come with it. At that time, his priority was his title and nothing else. 

Chris Jericho’s legendary life in WWE

The owner of the first Undisputed WWF Championship title could hold his title for almost 98 days. Soon after that, Triple H won the title at WrestleMania X8. However, Jericho has lived a respectful life as a wrestler during his time in WWE.

He has been in the wrestling business for more than 30 years now. All this while, he has established his win over several titles. Not just that, he is known to beat the greatest of wrestlers like Stone Cold Steve Austin, and The Rock. 

The three-time World Heavyweight Champion was also known to share a special bonding with McMahon. Even Road Dogg mentioned it recently in a podcast. However, during his departure from WWE in 2019, Y2J spoke of him coming into McMahon’s enemy life. This sudden change in the equation between the two shocked WWE fans.
