Pro wrestling, unlike many other sports, has a way of getting its fans emotionally invested and engrossed in a storyline. The way the tension, drama, and excitement is built in wrestling is more akin to a Shakespearean play than anything else. One current wrestling story that perhaps even the renowned English playwright would be proud of is the ongoing Sami Zayn-Bloodline saga. Right from the Canadian superstar’s early days with the faction, to his induction as the ‘Honorary Uce’ and the recent turn at Royal Rumble, this storyline has taken people on a roller-coaster ride. And it turns out The Undertaker is also in awe of this brilliant storytelling.
‘The Phenom’, who is no stranger to compelling on-screen drama, gave his thoughts on the current WWE product and praised The Bloodline-Sami Zayn narrative.

The Undertaker spoke about the current product and named Bray Wyatt as a superstar he “obviously” keeps his eye on. Besides ‘The New Face of Fear’, he also named-dropped The Bloodline story and called it “phenomenal.”
On SPORTSNET’s Tim & Friends, the WWE Hall of Famer said, “I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Sami Zayn and the job that he’s done in that story. That Bloodline-Sami Zayn story is so compelling. It’s so well done. That’s what we do at our best is we storytell. I think that whole thing is being done…I mean just the layers of how it started and bring in The Usos into it.”
Taker further added, “The uncertainty there and then bringing everything together where it’s just a well-oiled machine. You can see the wheels loosening up and about to come off. And then the thing with Sami, it’s really been well done.”
Appreciation from such an iconic figure speaks volumes about the quality of The Bloodline-Zayn storyline. Its success has stolen the spotlight from one particular fan-favorite star.
This long-term storytelling has taken away some of the attention from the Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes
Sami Zayn’s turn on The Bloodline and the whole story has been so well done that it has for some part overshadowed Cody Rhodes’ Royal Rumble win. With ‘The American Nightmare’ in line to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, all the talk has been about Zayn’s match against ‘The Tribal Chief’ for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at the Elimination Chamber. Moreover, the added uncertainty of Jey Uso’s allegiance has also added intrigue to the already fascinating narrative.
