If there is one wrestler from the current roster who is making a name for himself by picking on WWE legends, it is none other than ‘The Arrogant Aussie’ Grayson Waller. He clearly has no respect as seen a few weeks ago on SmackDown where he asked the ‘Rated-R’ superstar Edge why he is not retiring yet.

Earlier Waller similarly tried to mess with John Cena at MITB but was put in his place with Cena delivering a powerful Attitude Adjustment to Waller and even got into an online tussle with The Rock. But there is one WWE Legend for whom Waller has nothing but respect.

Grayson Waller Praised Shawn Michaels for his superb management of NXT

Grayson Waller made his NXT debut in 2021. There he faced Roderick Strong for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship but lost that night. And post that match Waller met Shawn Michaels who is currently in charge of developing talent for the company’s NXT brand. He asked Michaels for more opportunities who gladly obliged.

On a recent interview with Fox, Waller spoke about this interaction with Michaels backstage. He said, ” I said to shown to his like, ‘Give me the ball, if you give me the ball, I will run with it and I will give you exactly what you need. Which is a very ballsy thing for someone to say to Shawn Michaels, you know what I mean? He gave me the ball and I think we all saw what I did with it.”

He even went on to add some words of praise about Michaels’ management of NXT. He added, “He is still someone I very much respect though and he’s done so much in the business and he is the reason NXT is so good.”

But while he is showering praises on one legend, he is destroying another one online by calling him ‘unemployed’. Waller went after The Rock after he responded to his earlier jibe. Interestingly, The Rock and Shawn Michaels had a very heated rivalry backstage in WWE, and Waller’s contrasting comments for both legends add to the spice.

What exactly did Grayson Waller say to Dwayne Johnson?

It all started with Grayson Waller poking fun at Dwayne Johnson by calling the attire he wore for his Madison Square Garden debut as ‘cringe’. The Rock fired back by calling the “Aussie Showoff” an “Outback Jack Off.” This had fans in splits as they were reminded of ‘The Great One’s’ quick wit from The Attitude Era.

Waller then went personal by saying that Johnson was more bothered about him than Ava’s ongoing contribution to the cult (Schism) and also the implosion of ‘The Bloodline’.

He also called Johnson ‘unemployed’ due to the current writers and actors strike in Hollywood. Waller even invited The Great One to his show ‘The Grayson Waller Effect’ at SummerSlam.
