“I Rejected Them” – 43-Year-Old Former WWE Wrestler Was Accused of Having an “Attitude” Problem for Staying True to Her Morals

WWE is one of the largest wrestling promotions in the entire world. And, it has often been proven that, for achieving success in the company, one must have a good backstage attitude and reputation. However, often several superstars become infamous for not having it, while some others rise to the position of being known as locker-room leaders.

The likes of The Undertaker is known to be highly respected in the locker room and is a leader backstage. However, one of the top female superstars from back in the 2000s was known for having an attitude.

Former WWE female superstar Melina was known for having an attitude problem backstage, and often people had a lot of problems with it. A few years ago, Melina would open up on The Artist Version One about her time in WWE and her experience there.

She addressed the issue regarding her having a bad attitude. Melina also spoke about the exact reason that led people into believing the same. The 43-year-old former wrestler would also speak about how certain wrestlers approached her in a way, and she turned them away. As per her, all of these issues resulted in the rumor about her problematic attitude.

What Melina says regarding her negative attitude backstage?

Melina would claim, “This is the way it is for a lot of backstage rumors in wrestling where everybody says like hey I was difficult, and I had an attitude and everything. If you know my personality, I don’t have an attitude.”

The former WWE superstar would further state that she does not know the source of origin of this rumor, but believes someone jealous of her spread this. Melina would then state that it might also be some male superstars whom she rejected when they were flirting with her, because she was already taken back then.

Melina said, “When people kind of like try to flirt with you or whatever and then you kind of have to turn them down because you’re taken. You never know their reaction. They hate me because I rejected them.” She believed this to be one of the major sources of the rumor.

Melina left WWE in 2011, after being defeated by Beth Phoenix.

Will Melina return to WWE?

After she left the organization in 2011, she made several appearances for other independent circuits. However, from 2019, she would start making sporadic appearances for WWE, especially during the Royal Rumble. However, it is still not sure if she would be permanently moving to WWE or not, the chances of which are low.

Melina was last seen at the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble. There she was eliminated by Sasha Banks, and since then has not appeared for WWE.
