Many WWE wrestlers have a well-documented history of health issues throughout their life. Their unhealthy habits were to be blamed. Legendary Ric Flair returned to life after being on his deathbed for a while. Fans know very well that the Nature Boy was a severe victim of alcohol addiction, prompting himself to the verge of multiple organ failures back in 2017.

After spending 10 sleepless nights on life support at Georgia Hospital, Flair survived and vowed to limit his alcohol consumption ever since. However, he was surprisingly reluctant to hydrate his body with the basic life-saving liquid, the water.

Flair prefers a glass of wine or beer over a glass of water anytime, which added to his extremely rash lifestyle that included shaking his legs in the bar with a stomach full of liquor almost every night. Treating the body with less water than necessary probably comes top among all other health sins.

Another legendary figure in the business, Hulk Hogan, who followed in Flair’s footsteps in terms of taking health scares, recently weighs in on how he never saw his former on-screen rival drinking water in the past 30 years.

During a recent interview with Theo Von, Hogan noted, ”30 years I never saw him take a drink of water. Breakfast, hard liquor, vitamins, lunch, a couple of beers, hard liquor again, and night wine. I love him to death. Oh yeah, but I never saw him drink any water until recently.”

Flair himself once backed up Hogan’s claim, referring to a terrifying in-ring incident.

Ric Flair almost passed out during his last match due to a lack of water consumption

The Nature Boy had his last dance in the squared circle in Nashville, Tennessee, at Starrcast V last year. He teamed up with his son-in-law, AEW star Andrade El Idolo, against the tag team consisting of WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett and Ring of Honor’s Jay Lethal. Although the legend clinched victory at his final showdown, pulling off some of his trademark moves to bury the opponents, he had to go through a scary experience in between the match.

Flair revealed that he almost passed out during the match when he missed a guitar shot against Jarrett and ended up hitting Lethal instead. His body went blank because he got simply dehydrated. However, his son-in-law motivated him to go on and he managed to finish the bout, nevertheless.

Fans will now hope Flair has already started taking great care of his health, keeping sufficient water intake on his healthy habits list.
