“I Never Hit Him”: Dwayne Johnson’s Co-star Opens Up on His Biggest Fear While Fighting The Rock in Black Adam

Dwayne Johnson is one of the most talented people in the entertainment industry currently. Johnson started off as a football player. However, he chose a different path after failing to make it big in that sector. Johnson would switch careers and join the pro-wrestling industry.

His switch to pro wrestling would turn out to be extremely beneficial, and he would win several accolades during his reign in WWE. During his time in WWE, he would also start doing roles in several Hollywood movies, and would leave WWE in 2004 for a full-time acting career.

The Rock also has one of the most impressive physiques of all time, and even won the 2016 ‘Sexiest Man Alive’. However, apart from that, Johnson is also heavily involved in several prominent and extremely successful movies of all time.

His most recent film, Black Adam, came out around a month ago. And, although it received severely poor ratings from the critics, the fans, however, loved whatever the film had to offer. Black Adam had been under development for the last 15 years and was a sort of dream project for Johnson.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Black Adam actor Aldis Hodge opened up about his role in the film and his action sequences. Hodge played the character, Hawkman. The actor even talked about something, which he was particularly afraid of during their shooting.

Hodge stated that he never hit Johnson. He further claimed how he grew up as a fighter and understood the distance difference between real and stunt fighting.

Hodge said, “With real fighting, you need to know your distance and your opponent’s distance exactly, so that you know when to lock in, clock them, and get out. With stunt fighting, you need to know your distance so that you never touch the other person, but the mace required the full extension of my arm.”

The Hawkman actor said, “So I had to deal with understanding a different length because the mace added a couple extra feet. And man, all I wanted to do was make it through the day without scratching that man’s face.” He further stated that he did not want the shooting to come to a halt because of him.

Will there be a sequel to Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam?

The film, Black Adam, ended on an open note and left the fans wanting for more. The conclusion of the film saw one of the most exciting and anticipated sequences of all time. Henry Cavill’s character as Superman showed up.

As Cavill showed up as Superman, the fans went crazy inside the theaters. And it set the ground for them to collide with each other. Although no official date has been released, a future fight between these two can be expected. DCEU has a tough schedule in 2023, and it will not be before 2024 that his film comes out.
