Despite being recognized greatly for his work with WWE, Hulk Hogan hasn’t returned for an official match since 2006. But things seem to be taking a turn in 2024. Rumors have started coming in regarding Hogan’s potential return as his 40th Hulkamania Anniversary draws closer. While WWE had plans to celebrate the occasion their way, there were speculations about Hogan’s return to the squared circle as well.

Hulk Hogan teases in-ring return

In a recent clip going viral over the internet, we can see the retired wrestler in a fan event by Eric Bischoff and Conrad Thompson for Adfreeshows’ ‘Top Guy’. Before thanking the wrestling fans for coming to the event, the wrestling legend hyped up everyone with a return tease.

In the clip, Hogan said, “Is anybody going to the Royal Rumble? Somebody told me I might get number 30.” Not only did he tease his fans about being a part of the battle royale event, but he also teased that he is supposed to be the 30th entrant. However, things are not that simple as he jokingly confessed that he needed to ‘sign a contract’ with his wife. Hogan possibly said this because of the excruciating pain he experienced for several months during his recovery period following his surgery.

The Hulkamania anniversary is on the 28th of January, while the Royal Rumble takes place a day before on the 27th. So, it would make sense if he returns to aid WWE’s marketing to benefit from the 40th anniversary of his stardom. Unfortunately, the Hulkamania anniversary can’t be recreated because of The Iron Sheik‘s passing in June 2023. However, we could still end up seeing Hogan wrestling inside the ring after more than a decade as he once previously teased it as well.
