The Undertaker stayed in the shadows of his character for 30 long years. However, there was a brief period in The Deadman’s career when he became himself, i.e. when he was in The American Badass character.
Taker appeared in several interviews during at the time and that’s when people got to see his real side. However, once he became nervous on a show when asked to have a pillow fight with the host’s cousin.

In 2003, The Undertaker appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live as ‘The Big Evil’. When Kimmel asked about The Phenom would like to hug A-Train or have a pillow fight with his cousin Sal on the show.
The Undertaker said, “I’ll tell you what, I’m getting a little, I’m kind of worried about cousin Sal. I mean he’s been in there with the tops in the game. He’s been there with Stone Cold, and Goldberg. (Kimmel adds Goldberg split his head open) Split his head open”
Kimmel added cousin Sal spent the night in the hospital after having a pillow fight with Bill Goldberg as he got 19 stitches. Further, the host said to Taker that a pillow fight is totally different from what happens in a WWE ring.
Taker added, “It is why I’m a little, that’s why I’m moving. I’m nervous about it too you know, I might get exposed right here on national TV.”
Also, The Deadman added having his last pillow fight at 4 years old. Indeed, this was the other side of The Undertaker fans got to see for the first time. However, he again brought back his Deadman character, which made him maintain a serious kayfabe again. He started appearing more in public after announcing his retirement in 2020.
Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts recently shared a story that includes The Undertaker
It is no secret that The Undertaker loved to visit strip joints while he was on the road as an active wrestler. Similarly, when he joined WWE, he started traveling with Jake Roberts, who knew some strip joints.
In the recent episode of ‘DDP Snake Pit’ podcast, Roberts shared a funny incident. Taker and Roberts were in Indianapolis and knew a strip joint. Surprisingly, both of them knew a girl over there, so they went there at night before the club closed.
They were excited and when they reached there; they called the girl they knew. Surprisingly, it was the same girl they talked about.

This was a hilarious incident, and Roberts remembers this whenever someone asks him about The Undertaker. They both shared a car together until Roberts left WWE.
