Logan Paul’s rookie year in WWE has been full of incredible spots. Whether it be the frog splash on the announce table at Crown Jewel or the perfectly executed buckshot lariat he provides highlight-worthy moments in the ring. But nothing has been more talked about than Paul’s springboard high-flying spot with Ricochet in the men’s Royal Rumble match. And he has recently talked about how it affected his body.

On the back of possessing such a move set, ‘The Maverick’ has recently secured another deal with the Stamford-based promotion. And he opened up about what price he has to pay to be a high-risk-taking athlete inside the ring.

Recent WWE Hall of Fame inductee Rey Mysterio was the guest of the Impaulsive podcast. During their discussion about the famous spot, Paul spoke about how the move was for him.

He said, “It was, the landing hurt because I landed wrong. I thought he {Ricochet} would hit me a little harder and I could flat back it and I didn’t I went butt-back-head.”

The fans have grown accustomed to expecting something extraordinary when the Youtuber-turned-wrestler steps into the ring. And he seldom disappoints them, coming up with a unique choice of offense.

But as Paul pointed out the top rope moves can become a painful experience if not performed correctly. Though it’s easy to forget that he entered the world of wrestling only last year and would definitely get better at his craft, especially, after renewing his contract with WWE.

It was common knowledge that Paul’s previous deal with the promotion was coming to an end. And he made no effort of hiding it in his post-match interview at WrestleMania 39 as well.

But after such a stellar time between the ropes, it was obvious that the global wrestling phenomenon would get his signature on the dotted line. WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H even tweeted his views on the new arrangement and wrote, “A proven Superstar on the biggest stage. Can’t wait to see what’s next for @LoganPaul.

The rigors that a wrestler has to go through have been highlighted time and time again. And Logan Paul’s recent comments pinpoint the struggles that a performer has to go through to entertain the masses. One has to do the hard yards to reach the pinnacle of the business.
