WWE Backlash kicks off from the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Décines in France, with CM Punk, Big E, and Jackie Redmond starting the pre-show. Talking about the matches on the card, the two veterans gave their opinions on the matches set for tonight. While discussing The Bloodline vs. Kevin Owens and Randy Orton, Punk dropped two massive shockers.

Punk was not part of the PLE, but like the WrestleMania Kickoff show, he was part of the pre-show. The medical team has yet to clear Punk to get into the ring.

While Big E said the moniker MFT for Tama Tonga by Solo Sikoa scares him, Punk had something to add. Punk said, “I know what it means, but I’m not allowed to say it on the broadcast.” Prior to this, Punk was shocked by Big E when he talked about Tonga’s New Japan career. He claimed that he thought he was still in the WWE from 10 years ago when you couldn’t mention NJPW. So, the mystery continues regarding what it could mean. Even legends like Jim Cornette gave his thoughts on it.

Another part of the line to note is when Big E was talking about Tonga’s work in NJPW; he mentioned Guerrillas of Destiny. This is the group that Tonga and his bother Tanga Loa were part of. While this was an exposition dump, it soon became foreshadowed when Loa appeared during the match. Making his debut in the WWE, Loa secured the win for The Bloodline. While fans were speculating the WWE would debut the Fatu brothers, Jacob and Zilla, it was a shock when Loa appeared. He went on to wreck Owens and Orton so that Sikoa could pick up the win.

The feud between The Bloodline and Ortons and Owens is set to continue. With the newest edition to their team, The Bloodline seems to be completed. However, the Fatus could still debut as Jacob is already signed on. This could lead to The New Bloodline taking on the Old Bloodline. Reigns is rumoured to return somewhere around SummerSlam. He won’t be happy to see the new members and the new Tribal Chief. Only time will tell what the plans for The Bloodline are moving forward. What did you think of Loa’s debut? Were you as shocked as Punk was when Big E mentioned NJPW? Tell us your thoughts in the comments down below.
