Dominik and Rey Mysterio’s intense feud has been a hot topic in the wrestling world for a while now. The epic father-son rivalry started gaining momentum from an infamous event when Dom turned on his father, Rey Mysterio, during Clash of the Castle last year and joined forces with The Judgment Day.
However, it seems there is one judgment day star who was quite skeptical about working alongside Dom and he is none other than the latter’s present stable mate Damien Priest.

Wrestling fans often get to see the amazing on-screen chemistry of Damien Priest and Dominik Mysterio these days. The 40-year-old star has had Dominik’s back since the latter joined his stable. He was also a major architect behind a number of wins Dominik clinched in the last couple of months.
While Priest seems totally convinced of Dominik’s worth as a wrestler, there were days when he just knew about his father’s legacy and was in the dark about his descendant’s ability.
In the latest episode of the Out Of Character podcast, reflecting on his initial doubts regarding Dom, The Judgment Day member noted, ”Dom was actually the only one that I wasn’t sure about because I didn’t really know him that well. I knew him as Rey’s kid, that’s it, and now we’re best friends, which is awesome. Like, we’re always together, even when we’re back home. When we’re off the road, we’re hanging out. So it’s pretty neat that we’ve all gotten this close and it’s just not on camera. Off camera, we probably are even closer.”
Damien Priest, who didn’t hold back from singing praises to Dom, labeling him as a star of his own now, took sharp revenge on Bad Bunny, who played a key role in Dominik’s WrestleMania loss.

The Raw after WrestleMania saw Rey Mysterio turn his attention to the current US Champion Austin Theory in an exciting turn of events. The Master of 619 almost secured the win, but ultimately he ended up losing. This was all thanks to the revenge-hungry streak of his son who allowed Theory to hit his finisher by distracting Rey in the final moment.
Another culprit, behind his loss at WrestleMania 39, Bad Bunny tried to interfere by punching Dominik. But it was Priest who couldn’t let his friend get away with the sudden attack and ended up choke-slamming the rapper through the announcer’s table.
