Dwayne Johnson is one of the most humble celebrities currently. He does not get fazed by the improbable success he has achieved in any field he has stepped in. The actor regularly interacts with his diehards and never misses any opportunity to be a bright spot in their lives. But there was also a time when Johnson was in a nascent phase of his Hollywood career. He once remembered how difficult it was for him to meet famous personalities initially.
After wooing WWE fans with his plethora of in-ring talent and mic skills, ‘The People’s Champ’ decided to foray into movies. It was a turbulent ride at the start, but his consistency and perseverance meant that he eventually tasted glory.
In a past interaction with actor Jamie Foxx at OFF SCRIPT, a Grey Goose Production, Johnson revealed how he was swept from his feet. Also, how meeting the who’s who of the movie business led to him having a fanboy moment.

Dwayne Johnson recalled his initial Hollywood days
‘The Great One’ said, “I remember when I met a few people when I came to Hollywood, I won’t mention their names, I don’t need to there’s no need to, but when I met them I was so excited to meet them. I was like, oh! I’m like, hey good to meet you. And then, I kind of got blown off and I was like. Yeah, it was kind of thing.”
It was a natural reaction for the 10-time WWE champion, who was a household name but not quite famous as he is today.
Like any normal follower would, he too got excited about meeting the greats. Johnson has slowly but surely earned a place among them.
A very busy 2023 for the wrestler-turned-actor
Meanwhile, on the work front, Dwayne Johnson has his plates full. He will be seen alongside Chris Evans and JK Simmons in the Amazon Prime movie Red One. He was linked with a return to in-ring action as well at WrestleMania 39 and a clash with nephew Roman Reigns. Those plans have all but fizzled out with Cody Rhodes winning the Royal Rumble match. Apart from having so much on his plate, he will also be busy with the upcoming XFL, a league that he co-owns.
