John Cena is one of the healthiest superstars in the entertainment industry. The 45-year-old started out as a competitive bodybuilder and then changed his career path to pro wrestling. His career switch turned out to be extremely successful, as Cena quickly became very popular. The WWE soon hired Cena, and it became a milestone moment in his life.

After achieving everything there was to achieve, Cena turned his passion towards acting. He followed the path of his former foe, Dwayne Johnson, and entered Hollywood. His popularity aided him in bagging some very prominent roles. However, it was also his own talent that took him to new heights. However, he still often makes part-time appearances for WWE.

During an interview with GQ, Cena revealed his workout habits and healthy lifestyle. During the interview, Cena revealed a new practice that he took up. Cena stated that he took up that lifestyle habit while shooting alongside the legendary Jackie Chan.

Cena had earlier revealed in the interview that he does stretching after working out because that allows him to walk after training, and he termed the stretching routine as yoga. The 16-time-World Champion said, “I say yoga because that’s the closest, but it’s like a stretch routine. I did a movie with Jackie Chan about three to four years ago and they could care less about how strong I was.”

He further stated that when he went there to train, they stretched him like anything. Cena said, ” I immediately lost 20 pounds, which was very difficult for me”. John Cena stated that although it was difficult for him to see his gains going away, he understood how important stretching was, and he could move his body.

He claimed that he became more flexible, and it changed his life in many ways.

What is John Cena’s workout routine?

John Cena on average, consumes 3613 calories each day. And after consuming such a gigantic number of calories, he needs to make sure he works out properly to maintain those gains. And, indeed so, Cena does not work out like a lightweight. He has one of the toughest and most rigorous workout routines.

He typically works out five days a week and follows an isolated muscle group training workout. He starts with Legs and Calves and ends with back. In the middle, he fits in his chest, shoulder, and arms. He also regularly trains his abs. And his workout routine shows how healthy of a person he is.
