For a good period, Vickie Guerrero played a vital role in WWE. She is also the wife of the late Eddie Guerrero. She left the company a while back but has now come on Twitter to explain how much the company has helped her since.

Vickie Guerrero on her tweet explained how WWE and Vince McMahon, in particular, helped her back in 2006. Eddie died of heart failure in the very year and left the wrestling world devastated with the news. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the night before WrestleMania 22.

After Eddie’s death, Vickie Guerrero and WWE came into an agreement that gave her the ownership to Eddie’s name, image, and likeness. She thanks WWE Chairman Vince McMahon for helping her with all the legal cases. 

Months after Eddie’s death, Vickie was heavily involved in many storylines in WWE. She was a brief heel for a while and eventually turned face when became assistant to Theodore Long. Vickie would enter into an on-screen relationship with WWE Superstars Edge and Ziggler. Vickie was also the SmackDown General Manager and has managed a few Superstars in the company.

In a subsequent tweet, Vickie mentions how she has moved on from WWE and says she looks forward to the future. It is heartwarming to see the company helping out Vickie in whatever ways they could have. Vince’s kind gesture and respect for his colleagues can be seconded to none.

Vickie’s autobiography would also be out soon, which could shed some lights into many of the untold stories in the company.

WWE Exit

After various feuds and storylines, Vickie Guerrero finally left the company in 2014. Her last appearance had her pay tribute to her late husband. Vickie Guerrero later revealed that she asked for a release from the company to pursue a career in medical administration.

She later made appearances in 2016 and 2019, even appearing as a contestant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. However, she was later permanently cut-off by the company. 

Many speculate that the reason behind the decision was Vickie’s appearance in a rival promotion. On December last year, Vickie made an appeared as a Guest Commentator on AEW. She has also expressed her desire to work more with AEW. Could we see Vickie Guerrero become a household name at AEW? Only time will tell.
