There have been a lot of doubts and confusion surrounding Bray Wyatt‘s WrestleMania 39 plan considering his absence from WWE TV for the last couple of weeks. The Eater of the World’s unstable status quite obviously put his scheduled opponent, Bobby Lashley‘s WrestleMania future, in serious jeopardy.

However, it seems like The Almighty’s fans don’t need to be disappointed anymore as the company seemingly has a solid backup plan for Lashley in store in case Wyatt vs Lashley doesn’t happen.

Bray Wyatt vs Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 39 has been the plan since February but it is now looking in serious doubt probably due to the reported illness Wyatt. Whatever the reason, considering the fact that we are only nine days away from the biggest show in pro wrestling, it’s not a positive sign at all.

However, there is still some hope left for Lashley. According to the latest report by givemesport, ‘A personal health issue on Bray Wyatt’s part is going to keep Bobby Lashley off the WrestleMania card. With that said, I know that there’s a backup plan… I do know that they’re gonna get Lashley on the card in some form. I heard the plans for Bobby had something to do with La Knight. ‘

The most interesting part was that, as per the report, there can also be a segment involving WWE legend ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin. While nothing is official yet, there is nothing wrong to keep faith in the rest of the report that says, “I think there’s a tie-in with some type of segment that LA Knight is going to be involved in.”

But is that really possible? It’s safe for us to do a background check before expecting Austin’s involvement at all at WrestleMania 39.

Austin rules out almost all possibilities of his WrestleMania 39 appearance

When it comes to the poster boy of the ‘Attitude Era’ it always seems like he still has something more to deliver to the business. His surprising return at WrestleMania 38 after 19 long years proved all the fans wrong who thought Austin’s wrestling days were gone for good. Again, WrestleMania 39 might be something similar as the early signs hinted so.

However, the Rattlesnake declined all the offers WWE made to him so far for the WrestleMania 39 appearance. On top of that, during a recent interview with Wrestling Observer, the 58-year-old superstar noted, “I love my relationship with WWE, but my days in the ring are done. Although, I did do the main event at WrestleMania last year in Dallas, but that was kind of a fluke and we pulled it off. It’s good to be back and see some of the faces, but I’ve been gone for a long time and I do not miss it.”

Austin further added that he has not been contacted by the company yet. But his ‘anything can happen’ tone was there as well, leaving enough space for speculation.
