John Cena can be termed as one of the biggest WWE Superstars to have ever graced the squared circle. He made his WWE debut in 2002, and since then he has never looked back. He grew his career from a failed competitive bodybuilder, to that of a reputed Hollywood superstar.
Cena has come a long way and has faced his own share of hardships and struggles to reach this stage. He is arguably one of the most successful WWE Superstar. Cena has reached this point in his life after fighting his battles and surviving in the competitive industry. His determination, physique, and charisma aided him in his path of success.

However, John Cena was not always sturdily built. As a preteen, he was a skinny kid who got picked on in school. However, one day he had enough and he decided to turn his life around. Speaking on The Ellen Show, Cena opened up about that turning point of his life.
He revealed one of his Christmas Gift he received when he was 12, that changed his life forever. He said, “So I enjoy christmas like every kid but this one gift when I was 12 years old literally change my life.I was a skinny, scrawny kid and I was really into hip-hop music.”
The 45-year-old further stated, “ At 12 Santa gave me a weight bench and I literally assembled it right then and there because I would get picked on every day because of the way I dressed and I acted. I was into a different style of music. I just got picked on for being different.” He revealed that instead of giving up, he turned his volume up, and started working out.

The Champ stated that receiving that gift changed his life, and also created a path for him for his future.

The Leader of Cenation, in that video also revealed how his father portrayed a very good Santa Claus. And would always visit their house prior to Christmas. However, that one time when he was 12, his father aka Santa Claus, would gift him a weight bench, that would change his future.

Cena revealed that he started using the weight bench when he was 12. And he steadily transformed into his future career. He said, “the working out, gave the illusion that I could defend myself, and an illusion I parlayed into a career as a WWE Superstar. But, it was just right then and there when I worked out for the first time as a 12 year old, I haven’t stopped since.”
