

The Undertaker is one of the biggest entities for the fans and the management in WWE. His influence has a lot of say when judging a newbie or developing a storyline. So, it goes without saying that he might have influenced the career of Michelle McCool, his current wife, and then-girlfriend. But while we might think it was always in a positive direction, McCool once opened up about the negative effects of her connection with The Undertaker.

We know of many instances where The Undertaker helped McCool perform better in the ring. But what we never get to know is the politics backstage in a company as big as WWE. Now, after Taker was inducted into the Hall of Fame in April, the All-American Diva had some things to say on the underlying double standards.
The Undertaker had an effect on Michelle McCool’s interaction with other wrestlers
In an interview that took place a few months ago in May of this year, Michelle McCool opened up about working in WWE while dating The Undertaker publically. While talking about the people’s attitudes towards her, she said, “I’m not afraid to stand up for myself. I am going to be nice, but if you’re going to be stupid and say stupid things, I will let you know I think they’re stupid.”

“There were several people that I can think of that totally treated me one way when he wasn’t around. And then if Mark was around, they’re treating me a different way, you know? And so I hate that crap. I literally said, look, I saw you five minutes ago in the hall, and you didn’t talk to me. I said I’m pretty sure I’m not the one that’s changed from five minutes, so don’t talk to me now.”

McCool was a great wrestler and showed her teeth in the ring, even before any association with The Undertaker. While Taker might be a big name in wrestling, McCool made a name for herself in an industry at a time when women were not given the best storylines or time to flesh out their characters on live TV.
