The year 2023 is already looking full of great possibilities for Cody Rhodes. He created history by winning the Men’s Royal Rumble and also looks to be a key part of his father’s documentary. The legendary life of his father, Dusty Rhodes, will soon be available for everyone to see as a documentary, and like any other son, Cody is also being particular about the little details of his father’s life being depicted on a larger scale.

During his wrestling days, Dusty Rhodes was a main-event performer and a major booker of NWA, throughout the 1980s. He also had a run in WWE but never got the chance to hold the WWE Championship title. The American Dream is also credited for his great work in creating long-lasting wrestling traditions like the WarGames match. The glorious life of the WWE legend is worth sharing with wrestling fans. And who else than his own son to ensure it all works properly?

Cody Rhodes disclosed his role in WWE Legend’s documentary

While speaking with Robbie Fox on his show ‘My Mom’s Basement,’ the 37-year-old disclosed his role in the biography series. He mentioned his role as the executive producer of the project and further continued to shed light on how things went during the making of the documentary. 

He said, “It is incredible and I don’t wanna say I disagreed. I had some trouble with the story the director, the showrunner of this documentary, I had some trouble with how he was telling it and that’s why I said maybe I was a little too hands-on because it’s my dad and people always want to talk to me about wrestling objectively, Dusty objectively and you (interviewer) know this about me, he’s my dad.”

Cody added, “I don’t wanna have those objective conversations. In this case, I needed to”.

The honest answer by ‘The American Nightmare’ will surely touch the hearts of many. His statements clearly reflect how particular he is when it comes to the representation of his father’s larger-than-life personality. Thus, he took care and became more conscious of each part that was going to be telecasted.

Cody wants to make sure that people get to know more about his father, not just as a wrestler, but how he was during his last days. Along with this information, he also let people know the documentary will soon be released. He said it will be aired the week before WrestleMania 39 on ‘Superstar Sunday’ with A&E.
