Dominik Mysterio was the undefeated North American NXT champion for more than two months. However, it all changed on the recent episode of NXT No Mercy. The 26-year-old star was stripped of his title by NXT rising star Trick Williams.
As Mysterio still laments over this loss, a 33-year-old star said he could have helped Mysterio keep his title.

Fans thought Mysterio’s savior might be Rhea Ripley or other members of The Judgment Day faction. But 33-year-old JD McDonagh said that he would have come in to rescue Dirty Dom’s title if he had gotten a call from him. McDonagh said, “Judgment Day don’t lose when I have to get involved”, referring to the time when the star along with Rhea Ripley helped Damian Priest and Finn Balor win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships at WWE Payback. He also said that if only Mysterio had called him, he still would have been a champion. “Dom should have given me a call, I guarantee he’d still be Champ right now,” he said in a snarky tweet.

Dominik Mysterio’s loss came days after he secured his win against Dragon Lee. While Mysterio was confident that he would defeat Trick Williams, things turned out pretty bad. With Dragon Lee present as the guest referee, things went south for the 26-year-old star as his attacks were failing to connect. This eventually led to his loss and Trick Williams taking his title away from him.
JD McDonagh has always been vocal about joining the heel faction. He has helped the faction many times. The reason why he is so adamant about joining the stable could be due to his relationship with Finn Balor.

The Irish Ace shares more than just his motherland with Balor. The 42-year-old star also happens to be the former trainer of McDonagh. The Irish wrestler was trained by Finn Balor and another Irish star, Paul Tracey. This might be the reason why McDonagh wants to join the heel stable, as he wants to be with his former coach and mentor. McDonagh’s recent advancements to joining the stable have caught everyone’s eye.

On the September 4th episode of RAW, as the stable was celebrating their wins at Payback, McDonagh presented a gift to Damian Priest. It was a purple-colored Money In The Bank briefcase with ‘Senor’ written on it. The members told him that his inclusion depends on how he will perform against Sami Zayn. He was able to secure a win against him, but there are no updates on whether he has been accepted as part of the stable.
