During his entire career, Hogan stuck to one rule, to never rehearse a match. He usually goes with the crowd flow, but had to alter his idealogy after a request from Vince McMahon.
Hulk Hogan went to rehearse a match at Vince McMahon’s request
The match we are talking about is the iconic one between Dwayne Johnson and Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 18. But prior to this legendary match, Vince McMahon requested Hogan to go and rehearse for the match in Miami, which Hogan usually didn’t do.

This was something Hogan had never done in his entire career till then according to the man himself. He purely went by the feel of what the crowd wanted. And on his recent appearance on ‘This Past Weekend’, he revealed how he broke his wrestling protocol purely out of respect for Vince McMahon.
Hogan said, “I get a call from Vince, ‘you know we’d really feel comfortable if you go down to Miami and rehearse the match’. ‘Vince I have never rehearsed a match in my life, what do we even talk about’. I don’t know what I’m going to do until I listen to the people. You know I listen to my ear and my heart, so I go out of respect.”
Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan have always had a tight relationship and despite their differences have always found a way to do business with each other.
But talking about WrestleMania 18, that match was one made in the wrestling heavens for the fans.

With two powerhouses from two different eras colliding on the biggest stage in WWE, fans just couldn’t get enough.
