Rhea Ripley has been an indomitable force in WWE. Ever since her grand victory at WrestleMania this year, she has gone on a rampage and piled up body after body inside the ring. She has been undefeated since she became the Women’s World Champion.

And now after defeating almost everyone on the roster, she wishes to go one-on-one against 6-time World Champion in WWE, Becky Lynch. Not only that, she teased that the bout could take place at WrestleMania 40.

Rhea Ripley calls Becky Lynch a future Hall of Famer

In a recent exclusive interview with Indiatoday.in, the Women’s World Champion expressed her desire to wrestle Lynch at The Grandest Stage of Them All next year. Praising Lynch, she said that Lynch is for sure a future Hall of Famer, and a match against her will surely be very challenging for her, which she likes.

Ripley said, “I expect a huge challenge from the Man, Becky. She has definitely made a name for herself in this company. She’s accomplished so much. She’s going down in history, as one of the best. And she will 110 percent be in the Hall of Fame one day. She really has made her own legacy.”

If the match takes place, then it will not be the first time the two superstars meet inside the ring. They have wrestled each other multiple times but only engaged in a singles match just once before.

The time when Ripley and Lynch went head-to-head

For those who don’t know or have forgotten, Lynch and Ripley have fought against each other inside the ropes. This happened almost four years ago. On the November 20, 2019, edition of WWE’s developmental brand, NXT, the two stars wrestled inside the ring.

However, the bout saw no victor. It was because Shayna Baszler (Lynch’s 2019 Survivor Series opponent) and her friends Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir attacked Lynch and Ripley at the same time to cause a disqualification in the match which lead to no winners being proclaimed.

During the interview, Ripley asserted she was very disappointed that day, as Baszler ruined the match for her. But now she wants to have a fair match with Lynch and see what the outcome will be. Speaking further, she stated she has full confidence in herself and knows that she will defeat Lynch at Mania 40 if their match takes place.
