Eric Young made headlines after being recently released. Known popularly as the leader of the group SAnitY, he made his debut against the Usos in 2018. The Canadian wrestler even challenged Jeff Hardy for the United States Championship once.
Now according to thereports by Fightful (h.t. DraVen): It was Young himself who asked for his release back in April 2023, as he didn’t want to work under the founder of the organization, Vince K. McMahon.

Furthermore, Fightful also claimed that Young’s decision to not work with the founder was backed by “moral, creative and personal reasons”.
Young got the impression that Vince McMahon was back in charge after the WWE’s merger with UFC. While he was hopeful of working under the leadership of Triple H, with the merger in place, it was clear he didn’t want any part of the organization.
Post the completion of his 90-day non-compete clause, Young made his return to Impact Wrestling when he teamed up with Scott D’Amore to defeat Bully Ray and Deaner at Impact Slammiversary. Nevertheless, fans expressed their reaction to the news of Young’s release and his reason for leaving the company.
