WrestleMania 39 did not feature many returns, but both nights had a comeback up their sleeve. While night 2 saw Shane McMahon make a surprise appearance, night 1 saw former NFL star Pat McAfee grace the SoFi stadium with his presence. He would immediately enter an impromptu match against The Miz and win comprehensively. Now McAfee has come out in support of his opponent.

He may have completely decimated the A-Lister in the PLE, but defended Miz recently, taking a dig at the Los Angeles crowd.

Speaking on his Pat McAfee Show, the former SmackDown commentator remarked that he did not like a particular chant on the WWE superstar. He said, “I’m actually a fan of The Miz you know I didn’t like that there was over 80,000 people chanting ‘tiny balls’, ‘tiny balls’. I didn’t like that.

“He was on with Rogan that’s where he first met Joe Rogan on fear factor that was before he was even on the real world or the challenge or in the WWE, I’ve been a fan of The Miz”. added McAfee.

The two competed in a short match that also featured heavy interference from San Francisco 49ers player George Kittle. He attacked The Miz after being provoked by him and laid him out via a clothesline. McAfee then proceeded to make short work of the former WWE champion by punting him and getting the pinfall victory. Netizens weren’t also too pleased with the former Indianapolis Colts player appearing in the marquee event.
