It left a large section of the WWE fanbase saddened when Cody Rhodes fell short to attain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 39 against Roman Reigns. The unexpected outcome stirred a lot of discussion among the WWE Universe. Most of them comprised the arguments regarding WWE’s booking decision. Some thought WWE did the right thing about not taking the title away from the Tribal Chief. While others think it’s an absolute injustice to Rhodes who deserved it the most.

From the creative head to numerous WWE veterans, everybody already had their say on this. But what Paul Heyman implied that The American Nightmare hasn’t burned himself enough to shine bright as the world’s most coveted title holder.

It simply means Rhodes’s road to WrestleMania was struggle free. Months after the notion came from various sources, including Reigns manager, Cody Rhodes finally decided to address it and shut everyone up with his calm yet firm response.

A single loss instantly changes the opinions of our surrounding people, something that we all experience in life. The WWE superstar also couldn’t escape this reality and endured many unfair opinions before he responded. Although Rhodes didn’t indulge in Heyman’s mind games by getting incensed about his comments. Rather, he chose to give a composed reply.

During a recent interview, the veteran noted, ‘I think Mr. Heyman lives a bit on the wild side in a sense when you hear things like ‘earn it’, ‘hasn’t had enough adversity’. I can’t wait until my documentary comes out. It’s very ironic in terms of juxtaposing the documentary and the amount of adversity in it, some that many people may not know about, particularly going back to WWE, and Mr Heyman’s comments. ‘

While Rhodes defended himself against Heyman’s comments with composure, he didn’t whitewash his loss at WrestleMania at all.

Cody Rhodes readily accepted his WrestleMania loss as it is

Being a veteran superstar, Cody Rhodes very well knows that it is the final result that matters, be it in sports or life. People won’t take into account the reasons or the circumstances. They just termed you either a winner or a loser. Here, one of the most promising faces of the current WWE roster steadily accepts the truth.

Fans might question why he didn’t call out Reigns for the huge interferences he received from Solo Sikao, The Usos, and Paul Heyman. But it doesn’t define Rhodes to blame others for his loss. ‘The most important shoe that’s ever involved this collective thing that fans love and to be able to be in the main event so many people looked at it and tried to sell me that was a win in itself and it’s not how I feel a win is now not to be redundant is a win and a loss is a loss,’ the star stated.
