After getting mixed reactions from fans on retaining his WWE US Championship, now Austin Theory is focused on his WrestleMania opponent. Even in the post-elimination chamber press conference, he didn’t forget to mention his potential opponent for the premium live event. One can easily guess who he must have named, keeping in mind his obsession with John Cena.

It’s quite clear that Theory has always admired Cena, but also wants to prove himself to the WWE legend. He has talked about him unabashedly almost everywhere. He has also disrespected The Champ many a time. In his quest to be the best star on the roster, Theory has gone right after WWE’s biggest babyface of the previous decade and remains keen to get his attention.
And now he has started planning for the March 6 episode of WWE RAW where The Prototype will return, as announced.
The WWE United States Champion waiting for the return of John Cena
On the February 20 episode of WWE Raw, Austin defeated WWE Hall of Famer Edge with some help from Finn Balor and again retained his United States title. Soon after it, he was seen on the WWE Digital Exclusive where Theory got a little annoyed when the host confronted him about the manner in which he won the match. While describing his feelings, he also mentioned his excitement about Cena’s return and how he plans to offer him a ‘warm’ welcome.
Theory said, “The headlines now, they certainly read Austin Theory is the now and the forever of the WWE. That little John Cena thing, two weeks away, Monday night Raw, John Cena, I can’t wait for that.”
“I can’t wait to bring him home and give him a warm, warm welcome to Monday night Raw. You want to know why? Because things are a little different around here now. Now, the now. Remember that,” he added.
From the words of the 25-year-old star, it’s quite evident that he is looking to confront The Cenation Leader soon which may lead to a match at WrestleMania 39.

Austin Theory speaks highly of himself
While speaking about his recent victory, the winner of the 2022 Men’s Money in the Bank didn’t leave any chance of speaking highly of himself. He started by mentioning his triumph over five other men in the Elimination Chamber.
Further, he stated that even the Elimination Chamber’s victory wasn’t enough for him, because he is far better than others, be it in work ethic, training, or diet, he has outrun everybody. Then the champion obviously brought up conquering the R-Rated Superstar on Monday Night Raw.
