For over two decades, WWE legend John Cena has carried WWE on his shoulders. The 16-time WWE Champion is undoubtedly one of the all-time greats of WWE. However, now that Cena is drifting away from WWE to pursue his acting career in Hollywood, fans have felt the void he’s left for the past few years. After being away from WWE for over a year, Cena recently returned to WWE at Money in the Bank.

Over the years, many have accused John Cena of burying WWE talent. When John appeared on ID10T with Chris Hardwick, he addressed the reality of this common myth about him. The former WWE Champion said that he has heard a lot of this in WWE and has denied this common myth about him instantly. He added he has been consistent over the years and has worked extremely hard, which everyone forgets.

“I heard it so much in WWE. ‘Well, Vince lets him do whatever he wants. That’s why he can consistently perform at a level that’s acceptable and entertaining to the audience. He gets to do whatever he wants.’ Nope. I ask and I execute and I invest and I’m meticulous with the detail and I’m consistent night in after night out. I’m trustworthy, I’m giving of self. But the perception everyone else has is ‘he just has a better situation.’ And I’m not taking away from anybody’s struggle. And I’ve learned to appreciate everyone’s struggle, and everyone has a different struggle. I can understand where those feelings come from.”

Cena has always been a workhouse for WWE
Ever since his debut on WWE, John Cena has put in a boundless amount of work and sacrifices to the WWE. He worked his way to the top with hard work and dedication. The number of titles that Cena has won in WWE is just a testament to how much of a successful guy he is in the business. Many former Superstars and current Superstars have praised the work ethic of the 16 time WWE Champion, as it still amazed them to see him in great shape.

Cena made his return to WWE recently and has challenged the biggest superstar in the current roster, Roman Reigns, as the duo will lock horns at SummerSlam 2021 for the WWE Universal Championship. Since his return, Cena has appeared in almost every WWE show and has been wrestling dark matches to stay in shape. These actions and commitment from a part-time wrestler show how Cena has reached where he is now.
