During his entire wrestling career, Hulk Hogan has changed promotions a number of times. However, his more noticeable changes were the ones between WWE and WCW. This is because of the controversy and drama that happened in between. When Hogan left WCW in 2000, he appeared to regret his decision to join the promotion altogether.

Hogan appeared on a radio show after walking out of WCW and talked ill about the promotion. Going on, he couldn’t resist but appreciate WWE as a pro wrestling company and Vince McMahon as the admin of that company.

Hogan took off from WWE in 1993 to pursue a career in acting. However, the wrestler came rushing back to the ring in 1994 when he signed with WCW. He worked there for six years, but in the year 2000, Hogan walked out of the company. This happened because he was fed up with the administration there and he realized his heart wanted to move away from there.

24 hours after walking out, he appeared on a radio show and talked about his “respect for Vince McMahon. The audio clip published recently on the YouTube account of ‘Bubba the Love Sponge’ is from his radio show in 2000.

A grateful Hogan said about McMahon, “Well, I just want him to know after all these years that it would’ve never happened if it hadn’t been for him giving me the break and I appreciate it.” As Bubba is talking about how Hogan’s son can be included in a spoof storyline, Hogan stops him to acknowledge that McMahon has his respect regardless.

Here, Hogan was being grateful that his career might have never gained its tremendous heights if it weren’t for WWE. Although this time around he was missing his time in WWE, during his later years, he realized there was a better promotion for him out there.

Hulk Hogan’s late realization

The Immortal One served as a superstar in the wrestling world for a long time. However, during his later wrestling days in WWE, Hogan realized that he was tired of his stardom. Instead, he decided to start anew. In 2009, he signed with Impact Wrestling for a backstage role.
