Dwayne Johnson has made a name for himself. Not only the star is known for his stellar Hollywood performance, but is also known for his time at WWE. He is admired a lot by fans all over the world. But apart from fans, he is very much respected by fellow WWE stars and alumni. Recently, The Rock returned to WWE as he appeared on the September 15th episode of SmackDown. A WWE Hall of Famer talks about how his unexpected return caught him off guard. He also highlighted what he loved about The Rock’s return to WWE and what he admires the most about the star.

Ric Flair reflects on The Rock’s surprise return and offers his sympathies to Austin Theory

In conversation with Chris Van Vliet, Ric Flair shared how much he enjoyed The Rock’s return segment at the Friday Night SmackDown a month ago. He said, “You open a show with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson you’ve got a lot of sh** to follow. I don’t care who you are.” implying that he feels Johnson’s segments are particularly enjoyable for him. He then said, “ I mean when he came out there that night, I didn’t know he was going to be on the show that night.” stating that he sure knew he was in for a treat that night. But according to him, the 51-year-old star’s interaction with Austin Theory was very much enjoyable.

 “And that poor Austin Theory kid”, he said while chuckling, “ I like him a lot but what is he going to do?” He then added, “You are not gonna get jealous of Dwayne. The Rock doesn’t know who Austin Theory is” stating the obvious affair of interaction between them. But for Flair, that interaction was something that had him rolling. He said, “ I am sitting and I am dying laughing what is he is going to say?  I don’t know who you are?!” stating that’s what he thought The Brahma Bull’s statement would be after seeing Theory.

During his time at WWE, The Rock was not known just for his wrestling skills. Wrestling fans also knew him for his witty one-liners and his humor. According to Ric Flair, Johnson was always meant for greatness.

Further talking about his antics at WWE, The Nature Boy pointed out one particular incident. “ Did you ever see this stuff? He did even play the guitar for Vickie Guerrero. Oh my God, he is right in there too.” Flair was talking about the song The Rock had dedicated to Vickie Guerrero, a former manager at WWE on the 20th anniversary of Raw. He then said, “I hate to believe I didn’t mean that he wasn’t a big part of it.” emphasizing that the Hollywood star gave his everything for that small segment where he was singing. 

Flair added, “The Rock had so many different opportunities. I think the big dream was always to go to Hollywood”. He went on to conclude by saying, “ I got all the time in the world for him, and he looks like a million bucks and a really nice guy.” stating that he particularly loves The Rock’s journey. Dwayne Johnson had officially returned to WWE on September 15th, 2023. He was seen having a brief segment with Austin Theory. His return has been dubbed as something that makes him ‘the needle mover’ with breaking records on social media and everywhere.
