“I Am a Part of Someone Else’s Storyline”- Charlotte Flair Opens Up About Her Current Role in WWE

For a long period, WWE Superstars appeared and performed in all the rosters. In 2016, WWE brought back brand extensions. Superstars were drafted into different brands, and since then, we’ve had many changes. One person who has been performing in all three rosters of WWE is Charlotte Flair. 

She has appeared for matches in all three brands of WWE – RAW, SmackDown and NXT. Gary Cassidy of Sportskeeda had an interview with Charlotte Flair where she talked about her being part of all three brands.

Flair thinks she is in the top form of her career right now. She mentions how people see her all the time being everywhere and believes expectations on her is high. She has lived up to the hype having won 12 titles to her name.

“I really do think that my consistency is a detriment to people missing me. I feel like I am doing some of the best work of my career right now, promo-wise and in-ring-wise but, because people see me all the time, I think they’re used to it, and the expectation is so high, and it’s so frustrating because it’s like, ‘Well, am I not supposed to be hungry? Am I not supposed to always want to be on top? Am I not supposed to be fighting to get better?‘ “, Flair said.

On being part of all 3 brands of WWE

Charlotte Flair also has her comments about being on all three brands. She says she does not have a fixed storyline. Flair is taking part because she is versatile and can do what the company asks.

She said,“ I think the biggest thing for me is, yes, I’m on all three brands but, if you look at my storylines that I am a part of, I am a part of someone else’s storyline, it’s not like anything is a “Charlotte Flair” push. Like, there’s nothing that… I’m just there because I can basically do anything and everything they ask.

Like, going to SmackDown was not for me. That’s not a push. That is “Charlotte Flair is a name, and she’s coming to SmackDown”. So, currently, I am just all over the place, brand-wise, because I am the hardest worker, and I will say that, for the women.”

Flair has been present in all three brands performing Champion v Champion match; invitational matches all the while being the NXT Champion. She is one of the most hardworking talents WWE boasts at the moment. 

The NXT Women’s Champion also says she is frustrated because people take her work and talent for granted. In all truth, Charlotte Flair is the kind of worker you’d want in any company. She has continuously shown how good she can be in-ring. Time favors her, and with the support from WWE, she could go down as one of the best.
