“I Always Have a Bone to Pick With Cody”: Dominik Mysterio Finally Reveals Why He Hates Cody Rhodes

Dominik Mysterio has become one of the most popular young wrestlers to enter the WWE scene. His rise with The Judgment Day has been commendable, and he has emerged as a solid addition to the main roster with his heel character. He has had run-ins with many popular stars and tries to stay in character even when not in the ring.

Dominik Mysterio recently revealed in a podcast the hatred he carries for a WWE superstar. This WWE superstar was none other than Cody Rhodes. Mysterio vented out his feelings and he got real with the WWE Universe and explained why he hates Cody Rhodes so much.  

Dominik Mysterio’s grudge against Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes is currently one of the most over-stars. In fact, he even challenged the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns for his WWE title. This opportunity to compete against the ‘Head of the Table’ of the Bloodline was earned by Cody Rhodes by competing in the Royal Rumble match. Cody Rhodes came in at number 30 and eliminated GUNTHER to win the match. Rhodes also eliminated Dominik Mysterio.

Rhodes did fail to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, but his Rumble win was memorable. While Cody Rhodes’s WrestleMania defeat is a whole other story, Dominik Mysterio recently opened up about the Royal Rumble match. In a podcast interview with Bakers Bantering, he said, “I came out of I believe 18 and, I got eliminated by Cody at number 30.”

Dom also added, “So that’s why I always have a bone to pick with Cody ’cause he came in there guns blazing and took me outta the Royal Rumble.” 

However, Dom also mentioned that he considered the Royal Rumble where Cody won as one of the best Royal Rumble he had witnessed. He went on to say, “But it was honestly pretty cool to be in there cause in the Royal Rumble before that I was in there for 3 mins. And in the 2021 Royal Rumble, I was in there for maybe 4 minutes. So being in there this year for 20-plus minutes was definitely a super fun experience.”

Dominik Mysterio has already gotten a piece of Cody Rhodes at Money in the Bank but came up short. However, his comments suggest he may not be done with him.

The Rhodes vs Dominick one more time?

The beef between Cody Rhodes and Dominick Mysterio isn’t limited to a one-off instance at Royal Rumble. The junior Luchador had also picked a fight with Rhodes at the Money in the Bank in a grudge match.

While Mysterio was courageous enough to insult Cody, he didn’t have the guts to face him head-on and hid behind Mami Rhea Ripley. However, the two eventually faced off against one another at the Money in the Bank event, and traded blows with each other.

Despite his best efforts, however, Dominick Mysterio failed to win. Rhodes dismantled The Judgment Day member with a Cross Rhodes and won the match. Mysterio still holds a grudge against Rhodes and is looking forward to get his revenge whenever he faces him next time.
