Ever since Cody Rhodes came back to WWE, he has been on a roll. His storylines with both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns have deeply resonated with the audience. Since his return last return against Rollins at WrestleMania 38, Rhodes has not been pinned or lost a match. But this Monday Night Raw, fans didn’t like him getting the victory over a member of the Bloodline.

In the main event of the show, Rhodes came face-to-face with the Enforcer of the faction, Solo Sikoa. Sikoa’s main roster debut at Clash at the Castle made him stand out more than any recent call-ups from NXT. This, with the popularity of the Bloodline story, resulted in fans’ love for Sikoa. But the fans weren’t happy with his main event match with Rhodes.

Before going one-on-one against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, Rhodes took on Sikoa in the main event of RAW’s go-home show. Even after the Usos came to help their brother, Rhodes was able to pick up the victory; thanks to the involvement of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

Even with Rhodes’ momentum and star power, for some fans, this wasn’t the best decision. The winner of the main event of WrestleMania 39 is still dividing people. Some are behind Rhodes all the way, while others don’t want Reigns’ dominance to go away. In the middle of it all, fans have come together on the fact that Solo Sikoa’s rise through the Bloodline has been excellent.

But this loss to Rhodes did not translate well with the fans, as this was the first time that Sikoa has been pinned in the ring.

Fans would have taken a DQ finish over a pin for this particular match.

Fans are taking personal digs at Rhodes, calling Rhodes on his former disappointing gimmick, which made him quit WWE.

People don’t like this at all.

While wrestling companies regularly end a match with DQ, this time that didn’t happen but fans wanted it.

While it may not have exactly derailed Sikoa’s momentum, this loss does take some shine off his character. Despite the loss tonight, there is a big chance that Triple H has something cooking for Sikoa’s big solo push, with or without the Bloodline. Fans just have to wait for it and hope for the best.
