Hulk Hogan has always lived up to his name and dominated the squared circle throughout the years. When appearing on HDNet’s The Voice Versus, Bollea told host Michael Schiavello how years of wrestling have made him shorter. The Hulkster once towered over his enemies at 6’7″ tall, but he has now shrunk by about 3 inches.
Why has Hulk Hogan shrunk in height?
The Hulkster talked about his height, saying, “One thing that my mother used to love to do was measure people…. when I first started wrestling, and when I started working out with Hiro Matsuda, she measured me on the wall barefooted and I was six foot seven.” He revealed that after his dad passed away, his mom measured him again as per tradition, and his height stood at 6’4″.
The former member of the nWo discussed how thirty years of wrestling had crushed and bent his spine. Hogan’s world famous finisher ‘The Leg Drop’ may be to blame here. His coccyx would feel the entire impact and compression from the move, and his back was injured extensively. Due to his over-the-top persona, the Hulkster’s health has suffered to where he has to use a walking stick.
