Hulk Hogan Tries to Make Up for His Controversial Comments on Stone Cold Steve Austin

Stone Cold Steve Austin might be the greatest WWE Superstar of all time. Another person that comes into that conversation is WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. Moreover, Hogan has previously commented on this very subject. He made clear who he thinks is the greatest of all time when it comes to wrestling.

However, Hogan’s choice for the greatest pro wrestler of all time was neither him nor Austin. He chose The Nature Boy Ric Flair to be at the top spot. Consequently, he then declared that he himself comes at the second spot and gave Stone Cold the third spot below him. This led to a big reaction by fans online and since then Hulk has clarified his position on the subject.

Hulk Hogan recently posted a video on his Facebook in which he gave a tribute speech to Scott Hall. Hall passed away today, and he was a dear friend of Hogan. Moreover, at the end of the speech, Hulk also cleared his position on his previous comments on Austin.

He said that Stone Cold Steve Austin could as well be the greatest of all time like Ric Flair. In the end, he did not pick between the two.

The debate for whom amongst these WWE legends is truly the greatest of all time is an old one. This debate has gone on and will continue to go on amongst the wrestling community forever. However, when it comes to draws, Stone Cold and Hogan remain amongst the top ones.

Did Stone Cold Steve Austin ever face Hulk Hogan in a match?

Two of the biggest names in the wrestling industry, Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin, changed the game during their reigns. While both WWE legends did work in the same eras as each other, Hogan being a veteran even then, their paths never crossed in a one-on-one match. It is still shocking that this dream match never happened.

During The Monday Night Wars, in the late 1990s, Hogan was the biggest star of WCW and Austin was the same for WWE. With a story like that when WWE bought WCW, fans dreamed of a showdown between the two legends.

However, the match never came to fruition. Regardless of that, the two made an impact on the business individually, which is indelible.
