He shared a rare photo with his former rival and friend André the Giant on his 29th death anniversary. André the Giant’s wrestling style and attitude left a great impression on the wrestling world.

Standing at 7’5″ and weighing about 500 pounds, André the Giant was more than just a wrestler. He was an actor and worked in several films. He also featured in the 1987 classic movie, The Princess Bridge.

In the ring, the French wrestler was a former WWE Champion and former WWE tag-team champion. He made a significant impact in many wrestling promotions, including WWE, WCW, All Japan Pro, NWA, and many more.

Hulk Hogan and André the Giant had a bitter rivalry in WWE. However, that’s wasn’t the case in real life as they spent quality time together away from the ring.
At WrestleMania III, Hogan beat Andre the Giant. During the match, Hogan famously slammed the 500lbs superstar.
In 1987, ‘The Hulkster’ and André the Giant confronted each other at Survivor Series and fans saw that the babyface Andre had the potential to defeat heel Hulk Hogan.

Later, both men battled in a series of matches where finally André the Giant defeated Hulk Hogan for the WWE Title.

Although they were bitter rivals in reel life, both men were best friends in real life and shared a different bond. Eventually, when Hogan won the WWE Championship, André was the one who poured champagne on his head.
