When you’re unhealthily overweight, losing a few pounds is the ideal situation. But when Hulk Hogan was overweight, he regretted losing weight ‘fast’. The reason behind it is a bit more complicated than it appears. Fans shouldn’t confuse his ‘regret’ with his ‘ungratefulness’. Instead, Hogan had a valid point when he talked about how he wished to have lost weight rather slowly.

Since gaining a lot of weight was a throwback to his childhood, Hogan already knew that it wasn’t going to be a healthy journey for him. So, the wrestler made one significant change in his schedule that, even though led to a faster weight loss, came with a price.

The Hulkster was recently found talking to Muscle and Health Magazine over at his ‘hangout’. During the interview, Hollywood Hogan revealed that instead of setting a goal for losing weight, he just wanted to experiment with what would happen if he quit or reduced drinking. Little did he know that the desirable results would bring some more changes to his body.

The former wrestler began by saying, “I’ve lost a bunch of weight. I’ve lost about 45 pounds (since January). And usually, I’m up around 300 pounds. I weigh 260 pounds now and the last time I weighed this much, I was in 9th grade.” He also recalled how he used to drink for a good while after ‘Monday Night Karaoke’ and then had the urge to binge eat junk food when he got home.

This led to him gaining a lot of weight. Then, when he quit drinking, the real miracle happened, “As soon as I quit drinking, I had no desire to eat junk at night. So, the weight started falling off me.

However, he had a regret, “I wish I had lost it slower because when your arms are really big and then they shrink up two or three inches, you have loose skin arm, you know,” explained the wrestler.

This wasn’t the first time that Hulk Hogan was suffering from being overweight. Just like he mentioned here, he was also ‘fat’ during his high school days. Due to this, Hogan was bullied during his childhood days.

The Immortal One was an athletic kid growing up. He used to play baseball during his high school days, too. However, that didn’t stop the fact that Hogan was bigger in size than many other students his age. So, he once confessed in an anti-bullying campaign about how his childhood wasn’t ‘ideal’ in terms of his social circle.

People surrounding Hogan, including his friends, used to bully him for being overweight. He even said that the whole neighborhood was involved in this process. Eventually, he lost all the excess weight, just like he did some time ago, and was able to turn things around for him.
