The match was between Hulk Hogan and Mr. T against “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff which Hulk Hogan and Mr. T eventually won. In his autobiography, Hogan recalled that the biggest source of the stress that night was none other than Mr. T. His celeb status was just too much, and he was not ready to act prudently as he considered himself to be a really big star.

Things started getting on Hogan’s nerves as Mr. T arrived late to the event knowing very well that the WWE has a fixed schedule to follow. In addition, Mr. T arrived with his entourage whom the security was not allowing. And Mr. T being the star that he is, was almost ready to back out of the match.

Mr. T was brought to ‘WrestleMania I’ as a celebrity attraction. But Piper had already mentioned before that he and other wrestlers disliked Mr. T as he was a celebrity and not a real wrestler. Post WrestleMania, their in-ring feud continued with a boxing match at ‘WrestleMania II’ which was the first of its kind in the WWE. Mr. T won that match in round 4 as Roddy Piper got disqualified for attacking the referee and body-slamming Mr. T.
